KAMAT is certified again! On April 30, KAMAT was re-examined by the GDI Society for Data Protection and Information Security mbH in Hagen. In terms of data protection, GDI now certifies that KAMAT has an adequate level of data protection. After the audit by GDI, it was found that KAMAT will also meet all certification requirements in 2020.
Data protection is taken seriously at KAMAT
"We take the regulations of the European General Data Protection Regulation seriously and have voluntarily undergone another audit by an external data protection officer this year as proof of this. The professional audits us once a year and determines whether everything is good or not. We have just received the final audit report and the associated certificate 2020 with a good result”, says managing director Dr. Ing. Andreas Wahl proud.
The data protection certificate certifies KAMAT that the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the German Federal Data Protection Act are implemented in this form. The audit included: the infrastructure and IT security in use, the use of cloud solutions in the company, the use of video surveillance, the implementation of the right to be forgotten, i.e. the deletion of data, etc.
Voluntary audit on data protection as part of the company quality check
The voluntary audit concerning data protection at KAMAT is just as much a part of KAMAT's objective company quality check as the quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9000. For more than 22 years, KAMAT has been living the quality management system according to the DIN EN ISO 9000 standard and shows that relevant processes in the company are planned for the future and implemented in a corresponding manner. By consistently implementing the standard, company performance is sustainably increased, company processes are continuously optimised and the requirements and expectations of interested parties are monitored.
