Types of Pumps for Industrial use

In industry, oscillating displacement pumps in particular are often used. In these pumps, liquids are pumped by alternating suction and pressure phases.

There are two types of oscillating displacement pumps:

  • Piston pumps with movable seal
  • Plunger pumps with free-standing seal

KAMAT specialises in the manufacture and sale of plunger pumps. Industrial pumps in this category consist of a cylinder and a piston, which is also called a plunger. The movement of the plunger creates a vacuum in the cylinder. This opens the valves in the cylinder and sets the liquid in motion. The oscillating operation enables precise pressure dosing, which is necessary in many industrial areas with specific requirements.
