High-Performance High-Pressure Valves for High-Pressure Plunger Pumps
High-pressure valves are used for the safe operation of a high-pressure system. Pressure limiting valves, for example, ensure a constant operating pressure, directional control valves control lines, unloader valves and safety valves ensure greater safety. They can open and close lines even if they are under high pressure.
A constant operating pressure is relevant for many high-pressure applications. In order to guarantee this even in different operating states and with changing volume flows, a sophisticated interaction between the high-pressure pump and different valve types is necessary. Different valves are used depending on the application:

High-Pressure Valves: a wide range of controls for individual processes
With pneumatic, electric or hydraulic control of the high-pressure valves, the plunger pumps can be perfectly integrated into automated and remote-controlled processes. This integration offers enormous freedom in the control of processes. Our electrohydraulic solenoid valves can even be used up to an operating pressure of 3000 bar, which makes the above-mentioned integration into automated process control systems possible in many industrial applications.
Special valves secure complex processes
KAMAT offers special valves on customer request. Due to the use of very large but thin-walled high-pressure pipes in the petrochemical industry, the testing of pipelines, for example, requires a special, valve-controlled process. KAMAT has developed the right valve combination for this process in order to guarantee a safe and stable process flow. KAMAT special valves are also used for testing carbon fiber-reinforced gas tanks in the automotive sector.
High-pressure valve materials
In the manufacture of high-pressure valves, high-strength and corrosion-resistant materials are used. The materials used must be able to withstand high loads as they are exposed to high pressure within the systems. Various sealing materials are also used, such as Teflon, EPDM, NBR, FBM or FFKM. All adapted to the specific application.
